“Money doesn’t break relationships — silence does.”

That’s a truth I’ve lived. And it’s why I am passionate about helping couples bring money out of the shadows and into open, honest conversations.

Hi! If you’re new here, my name is Jordan Pendleton.

I know what it feels like when money hangs heavy in a relationship. When Zach and I first got married, we didn’t start out with perfect communication or a polished financial plan. We started with a lot of debt, fear, and silence on my part. I had secretly been carrying nearly $60,000 of debt—credit cards, loans, even money I owed friends—and I hadn’t told him until 2 weeks after our wedding. For many years, I believed I could fix it alone. I believed if he knew, he wouldn’t see me the same.

I know what it feels like when money hangs heavy in a relationship. When Zach and I first got married, we didn’t start out with perfect communication or a polished financial plan. That moment changed everything.

I’ll never forget the afternoon I finally came clean—sitting on our bed, hands shaking, sliding a piece of paper across to him with every debt listed out. I braced for him to explode, to leave, to see me as a fraud.

Instead, he looked me in the eyes and said:
“If you think I married you for your money, we’ve got bigger problems.”

From Shame to Connection

For years, I tied my worth to my financial standing. Even though I had been a financial advisor and coach for my whole career, deep down, I believed I wasn’t enough. The debt was proof of that belief, a tangible weight I carried in silence.

But when I finally let Zach in—when we chose honesty over hiding—that silence broke. The conversations I had once avoided became the very thing that brought us closer than ever. We learned how to listen, how to fight for each other instead of with each other, and how to build trust through transparency.

And you know what? Today, we don’t argue about money. Not because we’re perfect or have it all “figured out”, but because we built a foundation of openness, teamwork, and trust that changed how we do life together.

Why I Coach Couples

I’ve lived the fear of financial secrets. I’ve felt the shame of wondering if I was “enough.” And I’ve experienced the freedom of bringing it all into the light and finding out that honesty can heal.

That’s why I coach couples. Because I know money isn’t just about budgets and bank accounts—it’s about identity, communication, and the life you’re building together. My heart is to help you turn money from a source of tension into a tool for connection, purpose, and freedom.

Life Today

I’m a Colorado native, married to my husband Zach now for 7 years. I am also a mom to two beautiful daughters, Iyla and Eleanor. Our house is pretty chaotic most days. But full of laughter and dog hair (thanks to our two English Setters, Jackson & Olaf). We love to ski, hike, cycle (Zach), be in the mountains, travel traveling, and chasing our girls through the park.

Life isn’t perfect, but it’s full—and it’s built on honesty, alignment, and purpose.
